Hey there. I’m Doug Baines, a freelance graphic designer based in Toronto.
This is the part where I’m supposed to tell you a bit about myself so here it goes. The majority of my experience has been as a designer in the publishing industry where my responsibilities extended from creative planning and design through to the prepress of final publications. As a freelance graphic designer I have become more involved in the marketing side of design by working on projects ranging from websites and brochures, to email blasts, posters and large scale trade show displays.
Over the years I have been a scenic painter for film and theatre and even an amusement ride operator and I can honestly say that everything I have ever done still has an influence over me today. I believe in hard work and effort but at the same time never try to let the seriousness and weight of it take away the fact that what I do is fun and that I love doing it. The challenges and problem solving involved in graphic design are what keeps it interesting – that’s what keeps me coming back for more.
Well, I hope that I have at least piqued your interest a bit and I sincerely want to thank you for taking the time and effort of visiting my site and finding out a little about me. Check out the gallery and then head over to the contact page to get in touch or you can use the handy button at the bottom of the page.
Doug Baines not only went beyond my expectations for graphic, website, and print material design, he also supported me through the developmental stages of my small business, making suggestions about marketing, branding, and social media – to name a few. I highly recommend Doug Baines to anyone needing graphic design work, and to budding entrepreneurs who want the full picture of how to get things started.”
